BAROT
Barot is a picnic spot and tourist location in Mandi district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is situated 40 km fromJogindernagar and 66 km from Mandi, the district headquarters. The road to Barot branches off at Jogindernagar-Mandi high ways and from Jogindernagar the distance is 40 km. It is sometimes possible to use the trolley from Jogindernagar which reduces the distance to 12 km. The route includes terraced fields and thick cedar forests, rising to Jhatingri at the hilltop. The remains of the summer palace of the former rulers of Mandi are located here.Through the little village of Tikkan, the road carries on to Barot. The town has a range of outdoor activities, including a trout breeding centre from where fish are released into the Uhl. A 30 km section of the river is used for angling.

BAORT (6000 feet) is just 550 kms away from Delhi. Barot is located in a valley carved out by Uhl river and is 40 kms by road and 12 kms by haulage way trolley/trekking from Joginder Nagar. It has Two reservoir of the Shanan Power House – the oldest Hydro -electric power house of Northern India. The Uhl river flows here which is famous for Trout fishing. One can reach Joginder Nagar from Delhi by Train and by Air (Gaggal airport 80 kms) also. Here we have a unique camping sites full of tranquillity and serenity now missing in other hill stations. This place offers spiritual solace also. This area is full of outstanding scenic views of snow covered Himalayan ranges - Dhauladhars & Pir Panjal.
This valley is a paradise for the trekkers and one can explore the new areas like –KHOTIKOHAR ; BARA GRAM; LOHARDI; PALACHAK (2770 m) and can trek uptoKullu / Manali (2/3 days trek). In this valley we are organising Camping activities / Summer Camps / small Treks/ Meditation camps. The tourist both foreign as well as domestic will find this place very attractive and adventures. One can enjoy the Paragliding at Bir / Billing which is just 26 kms away from Joginder Nagar.
We can make the tour itinerary as per your programme. Our Package Tour for 3nights/4 days include one night stay at Hotel in Joginder Nagar and Two days of stay in the Camp at Barot Valley. Minimum Group requirement will be of 15 persons.
